President Bola Tinubu said Nigeria is recording serious foundational progress under his administration’s economic reforms.

He made the statement while receiving a delegation from Deloitte Africa led by its Chief Executive Officer, Ruwayda Redfearn, at the State House in Abuja.

The President acknowledged that the fiscal, revenue and tax reforms introduced by his government came with tough decisions. He explained that the process has not been easy, but the outcome is beginning to show positive results for the country’s economy.

He noted that the revenue reforms are already stimulating growth, strengthening financial institutions, and improving Nigeria’s competitiveness globally.

The President also called on Deloitte Africa to expand its support by creating more opportunities for training and employment of Nigerian youths.

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, also urged Deloitte to prioritise capacity building for Nigerian youths as part of its collaboration with the government.
